INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH

This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:
1) Etrack 3355093 Upgrade to VOM CMS 6.0 failed

* 3355093 Upgrade to VOM CMS 6.0 failed 

Symptom:
When upgrading the VOM CMS to VOM 6.0, the upgrade will fail with a DB upgrade failure.

Description:
For customers who have started with an older release of VOM CMS ( VOM 2.x or 3.x),
and upgraded over the years to VOM 4.x or 5.x, when upgrading to VOM 6.0,
the 6.0 upgrade will fail with a DB update failure. This Hotfix will fix up
some of the DB tables, so that the VOM 6.0 upgrade will succeed.

Resolution:
Fix a table in the DB. Fix the constraint name on the table.  


INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
This hotfix is applicable for the VOM Management Server. 
Before upgrading to VOM 6.0

1. Download the file HF050001961-39.
2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server. 
3. Navigate to Settings - Deployment Management tab. 
4. Upload the hotfix to the VOM CMS using the upload button. The HF050001961-39 should be visible in the table below. 
5. Select the HF and install it

On Linux,
If you have already attempted to upgrade the CMS to VOM 6.0, and the upgrade failed, 
You must manually apply the Hotfix using the vomadm command.

1. Download the file HF050001961-39.sfa .
3. run this command ,  /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin/vomadm hotfix --install /var/tmp/HF050001961-39.sfa

REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server. 
2. Navigate to Settings - Deployment Management tab. 
3. Select the hotfix. This will take you to the page which shows the status of the HF on all hosts. 
4. Uninstall it from the managed host.
