HyperScale introduces the concept of consistency groups, also known as volume groups, that allows you to configure a set of volumes as a single entity and then provision that storage to applications that run across distributed containers on a single host. A volume group provides crash-consistent storage for distributed inter-dependent deployments on the same host.
