Deployment scenarios

How you deploy HyperScale depends on your environment, including factors such as your infrastructure, container workloads that you plan to run, and the expected QoS parameters for storage performance, latency, and data resiliency. HyperScale integrates with most of the popular container orchestration solutions such as Docker Swarm and Kubernetes and also provides block storage option for Red Hat OpenShift platform. These solutions orchestrate and manage the container lifecycle in the container ecosystem. You can leverage HyperScale to provide software-defined persistent storage, which ensures high availability of data, provides efficient and high storage performance, and provides a mechanism to back up and recover data in the container ecosystem.

You can deploy HyperScale in a physical environment (x86 64-bit servers), in a virtual environment (VMware virtual machines), or on an Amazon EC2 instance. Docker must be installed on each host where HyperScale is installed.
