Symantec licensing commands

On UNIX systems, the VRTSvlic licensing package must be installed to enable Symantec product licensing. VRTSvlic is typically installed by the product installation scripts—in this case, the CommandCentral Storage installer.

The following Symantec licensing commands are available on your system after VRTSvlic is installed:

vxlicinst—licenses a Symantec product already installed on a system
vxlicrep—views currently installed licenses
vxlictest—retrieves features encoded in a license key and their descriptions
