Adding a Secondary to the RDS
The Add Secondary to an RDS task performs the following operations:

Creates and adds a Secondary RVG on the Secondary host. The name of the Secondary RVG and the Primary RVG are the same.

Associates to the Secondary RVG existing data volumes of the same names and sizes as the Primary data volumes. This task also associates an existing SRL of the same name as the Primary SRL to the Secondary RVG.

Creates and associates RLINKs to Primary and Secondary RVGs.

To add a Secondary

On the Primary, choose Configure Replicated Data Set (RDS) > Add Secondary to an RDS.
The following screen displays:

Select the RVG from the list.
After selecting the RVG, the Add Secondary to an RDS screen displays.

In the Secondary Host/IP entry field, enter the name or the IP address of the Secondary host.

The Secondary DiskGroup and Primary Host/IP entry fields automatically populate. Optionally, change these names if required.

Optionally, enter a Primary RLINK and/or Secondary RLINK name in the Primary RLINK and Secondary RLINK entry fields. If you keep these fields blank, the RLINKs are named as follows by default:

To initiate this task, press enter.
The command status screen displays.

Press F3 until you return to the main menu.
