Resuming replication to a Secondary

The Resume Replication task can be used to resume replication between the Primary and a specific Secondary in an RDS. For details on resuming replication, see Pausing and resuming replication to a Secondary. This task is distributed, that is, it can be executed from any host in the RDS.

 To resume replication on the Primary

  1. Choose Replication Tasks > Resume Replication > Resume Replication on Primary.
  2. Select the RVG from the list.

    The following screen displays:

  1. If the RDS contains a single Secondary, the Secondary hostname displays in the Secondary Host entry field by default. If the RDS contains more than one Secondary, press F4 to view the list of available Secondary hosts and then select the Secondary host.

      Note   To determine the appropriate setting, press F1 to view help.


  2. To initiate this task, press enter.

    The command status screen displays.

  3. Press F3 until you return to the main menu.

 To resume replication on the Secondary

  1. Choose Replication Tasks > Resume Replication > Resume Replication on Secondary.
  2. Select the RVG from the list.

    The Resume Replication on Secondary screen displays.

  3. Repeat step 2 through step 5 in To resume replication on the Primary.
