SMIT screen conventions
This section describes the conventions used on SMIT screens.

To navigate from field to field, press the up and down arrow keys.

To view Help for the current field, press F1.

An asterisk (*) denotes that the field is mandatory.

Brackets denote that the field is an editable field.

A plus sign (+) denotes that a list of options is available. To display the list, press F4. Then, position your cursor on the desired selection and press enter.
Optionally, press tab to make a selection. Continue to press tab until you reach the option (done in a ring selection fashion). After you reach the desired option, press the down arrow key to advance to the next field.

Brackets and a plus sign (+) denote that a list of options is available.

A number sign (#) denotes that only numeric characters can be entered.

The function keys represent the selections available for the current screen.

After you have completed entering values in the mandatory fields, press enter to initiate the task.

After you press enter to initiate a task, a command status screen displays:

In this screen, the task was successful, as indicated by
Command:
OK
in the top left of the screen.
Press F3 to return to the main menu. You may need to press F3 one or more times to return to the main menu.

If the command was not successful, the top left of the screen would display
Command:
failed
and a description of the error.
Press F3 to return to the previous screen, correct the errors and then initiate the command again by pressing enter.
