Veritas File System 5.0 allows Version 4, 6 and 7 file system disk layouts to be mounted. Disk layout Versions 1, 2, and 5 are not supported by VxFS 5.0 on the Linux platform. All file systems created on VxFS 5.0 use disk layout Version 7 by default.
To determine the disk layout version of a VxFS file system, run the fstyp_vxfs command on the file system physical device, for example:
# /opt/VRTS/bin/fstyp -v /dev/vx/dsk/rootdg/volname | grep \
