For accurate information about the state of mounted file systems on Linux, refer to the contents of /proc/mounts
. The mount
command may or may not reference this source of information depending on whether the regular file /etc/mtab
has been replaced with a symbolic link to /proc/mounts
. This change is made at the discretion of the system administrator and the benefits are discussed in the mount
online manual page.
A benefit of using /proc/mounts
is that changes to SFCFS mount options are accurately displayed for all nodes.
