db2ed_update - create or update the Veritas Storage Foundation for DB2

This command is part of Veritas Storage Foundation for DB2.
To determine whether this product is installed on an \1 system, type:
lslpp -L VRTSdb2ed
The db2ed_update command creates a repository
which stores information used by Veritas Storage Foundation for DB2.
The repository contains Storage Checkpoint information,
tablespace, container information, and Database
FlashSnap information. If the repository already exists, the command
will refresh it. To use db2ed_update, the instance must be running.
The following options are supported:

-I DB2INSTANCE

Specifies the name of the DB2 instance. If the instance is not specified,
the current user will be used as the instance owner.

-D DB2DATABASE
-
Specifies the name of the DB2 database for which information will be retrieved.
-
-G SERVICE_GROUP
-
Specifies the VCS service group name for the database if the DB2 database is under VCS control. See Veritas cluster server documentation for detail.
-
-n | -p
-
Retrieves and displays summary information about the databases,
tablespaces, and containers.

-h
-
Shows command usage.
db2ed_update must be run as the instance owner to retrieve
information from a DB2 database.
