NAME

db2ed_update_all - create or update the Veritas Storage Foundation for DB2 repository for a partitioned DB2 database

SYNOPSIS

db2ed_update_all [ -I DB2INSTANCE ] -D DB2DATABASE

     [ -G SERVICE_GROUP ]

     [ -p ] [ -h ]


AVAILABILITY

This command is part of Veritas Storage Foundation for DB2. To determine whether this product is installed on an \1 system, type:

lslpp -L VRTSdb2ed


DESCRIPTION

The db2ed_update_all command creates a repository which stores information used by Veritas Storage Foundation for DB2. If the repository already exists, the command will refresh it. To use db2ed_update_all, the instance must be running.

OPTIONS

The following options are supported:
-I DB2INSTANCE
Specifies the name of the DB2 instance. If the instance is not specified, the current user will be used as the instance owner.
-D DB2DATABASE
Specifies the name of the DB2 database for which information will be retrieved.
-G SERVICE_GROUP
Specifies the VCS service group name for the database if the database is under VCS control. See Veritas cluster server documentation for detail.
-p
Retrieves and displays summary information about the databases, tablespaces, and containers.
-h
Shows command usage.

NOTES

db2ed_update_all calls db2ed_update on every database partition. The command must be run as the instance owner to retrieve information from a DB2 database.
