If for any reason the VxDBMS process is not running or is having problems, use the sfua_db_config command to start, stop, and check the status of the repository database and its server.

To check the status of the repository

Use the -o dbstatus option:

# /opt/VRTSdbcom/bin/sfua_db_config -o dbstatus

To start the repository

Use the -o startdb option:

# /opt/VRTSdbcom/bin/sfua_db_config -o startdb
