Supported software

The Veritas Cluster Server agent for Oracle 5.2 supports the following software versions in a Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) environment:

Oracle

Oracle9i, Oracle 10g R1, Oracle 10g R2, and Oracle 11g R1 (including 64-bit versions)

Note:

Veritas Cluster Server agent for Oracle supports the specified Oracle versions on Linux if Oracle supports that version on Linux. Refer to the Veritas Cluster Server Release Notes for more details.

VCS

VCS 5.0 MP3 on Linux

Linux

The agent supports the following Linux distributions:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (Update 3, Update 4, Update 5, or Update 6)

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (Update 1 or Update 2)

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 with SP3 or SP4

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 with SP1 or SP2

  • Oracle Enterprise Linux based on RHEL 4 Update 5 or Update 6

  • Oracle Enterprise Linux based on RHEL 5 Update 1

Note:

Within the cluster, all systems must use the same operating system version and patch level.
