Starting VCS Simulator from the Java Console

To start VCS Simulator from the Java Console (UNIX)

  1. Type the following command to grant the system permission to display on the desktop:

xhost +

  1. Configure the shell environment variable DISPLAY on the system where Cluster Manager will be launched. For example, if using Korn shell, type the following command to display on the system myws:

    export DISPLAY=myws:0

  2. Run the following command:

    /opt/VRTSvcs/bin/hasimgui
