Running HA commands as non-root users on clusters in secure mode

Perform the following procedure to configure VCS to not prompt for passwords when a non-root user runs HA commands on a cluster which runs in secure mode.

To run HA commands as non-root users on clusters in secure mode

1. Set the VCS_DOMAIN and VCS_DOMAINTYPE environment variables as follows:
   • VCS_DOMAIN=nodomain
   • VCS_DOMAINTYPE=localhost

     You can set the VCS_DOMAIN value to any dummy value.

2. Run any HA command. This step generates credentials for VCS to store the authentication information in the user's home directory. For example, run the following command:

   # hasys -state
