If your system is already running a previous release of a Storage Foundation (or Foundation Suite) product, this section describes how to upgrade it to Veritas Storage Foundation 5.1. The operating system must be at a supported level for this upgrade. Perform the procedures in the following sections to upgrade Storage Foundation or your operating system, or both. You can perform an upgrade to Storage Foundation using the Veritas product installer or product installation script if you already have Storage Foundation installed.

If you are running an earlier release of Veritas Storage Foundation, Veritas Storage Foundation for DB2, Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle, or Veritas Storage Foundation for Sybase, you can upgrade your product using the procedures described in this chapter.
