Verifying normal functioning of VCS I/O fencing
It is mandatory to have VCS I/O fencing enabled in SF Oracle RAC cluster to protect against split-brain scenarios. VCS I/O fencing can be assumed to be running normally in the following cases:
-
Fencing port 'b' enabled on the nodes
# gabconfig -a
To verify that fencing is enabled on the nodes:
# vxfenadm -d
-
Registered keys present on the coordinator disks
# vxfenadm -g all -f /etc/vxfentab
