SFCFSHA has kernel components that are specific for Solaris operating system versions. When you use Solaris Live Upgrade to upgrade the Solaris operating system, you must complete these steps to ensure the correct version of SFCFSHA components are installed.
On a node in the cluster, run the installer on the alternate boot disk to remove and reinstall Veritas Storage Foundation Cluster File System High Availability 6.0 on all the nodes in the cluster.
At the end of the process the following occurs:
Veritas Storage Foundation Cluster File System High Availability 6.0 is installed on the alternate boot disk, with the correct binaries for the new operating system version
To remove and reinstall SFCFSHA using the installer
The installer displays the list of packages that will be uninstalled.
# /cdrom/storage_foundation_cluster_file_system_ha/installsfcfsha \ -install -rootpath /altrootpath
# pkginfo -R /altroot.5.10 -l VRTSpkgname
For example:
# pkginfo -R /altroot.5.10 -l VRTSvxvm
Review the installation logs at /altroot.5.10/opt/VRTS/install/log
