You can use an existing SFCFSHA cluster or you can install a new SFCFSHA cluster for your primary site.
For planning information:
See About planning for SFCFSHA installation.
If you are using an existing cluster as the primary and you want to set up a global cluster, skip the steps below and proceed to configure your secondary cluster.
See Configuring an SFCFSHA cluster at the secondary site.
Note: |
You must have a GCO license enabled for a global cluster. If you are using VVR for replication, you must have a VVR license enabled. |
If you do not have an existing cluster and you are setting up two new sites for an SFCFSHA global cluster, follow the steps below.
To set up the cluster and database at the primary site
For preparation:
See Prerequisites for Veritas Storage Foundation Cluster File System High Availability.
For installation:
See About the Web-based installer.
For configuration:
For a multi-node cluster, configure I/O fencing.
# hagrp -state cvm
Prepare systems and storage for a global cluster. Identify the hardware and storage requirements before installing your database software.
After successful database installation and configuration, verify that database resources are up on all nodes.
