The vcsqs command allows administrators to manage service groups and systems within a cluster. The command can also be used to display state information about all service groups, resources, and systems, or about a specific group, resource, or system.
-start Starts the VCS QS server and related processes on the local system. -stop [-all | -shutdown | -evacuate] Stops the VCS QS server and related processes on the local system without offlining service groups active on that system. The -shutdown option offlines all service groups online on the system before VCS QS is stopped. The -all option can be used to stop or shutdown VCS QS on both systems. The -evacuate option fails over the service groups active on the local system to the other system before stopping VCS QS. -grp [group] Displays the group state table or single group state. -res [resource] Displays the resource state table or single resource state. -config [resource] Displays all resource configuration attribute values or the configuration attribute values of a single resource. -sys Displays the system state table, which includes the Cluster Link Status. -online group -sys system Online a group on a specified system. -offline group [-sys system] Offlines an online or partial group. -switch group [-sys system] Switches an online or partial group to the other VCS QS system if the system is OFFLINE. -freeze group Freezes a group. -unfreeze group Unfreezes a group. -clear group [-sys system] Clears all faults in a FAULTED group. -flush group [-sys system] Halts the starting or stopping of all resources of a group in the starting or the stopping state. -autoenable group -sys system Enables an AutoDisabled group. -users Display a list of all users. -addadmin username Add a user with Admin privileges. Users with Admin privileges are permitted to change the cluster configuration, add groups, online groups, and perform other administrative tasks. -addguest username Add a user with Guest privileges. Users with Guest privileges are permitted only to monitor the cluster. Guests cannot make changes to the configuration. -deleteuser username Delete an Admin or Guest user. -updateuser username Update an Admin or Guest users password. -intervals [type] Displays a table of the MonitorInterval value for all VCSQS supported agent types. -modifyinterval type value Changes the value of the MonitorInterval for a type. -version Returns the version level of the software. -help Display usage for vcsqs.
If a system name is not specified, information regarding all systems is displayed.
