To remove the IPv4 resources from the VCS configuration do the following:
Remove the IPv4 resources from the Primary and Secondary sites.
Remove the IPv4 network on the Primary and Secondary sites. This task is optional. Only perform this task if you want to have an IPv6-only environment.
To remove the IPv4 resources from the Primary and Secondary sites
# haconf -makerw
# hares -offline ipres -sys swsx25
# hares -unlink ipres nicres
# hares -delete ipres # hares -delete nicres
# haconf -dump -makero
# hares -state | grep -i res #Resource Attribute System Value ipres_v6 State swsx25 ONLINE ipres_v6 State swsx27 OFFLINE nicres_v6 State swsx25 ONLINE nicres_v6 State swsx27 ONLINE
To remove the IPv4 network on the Primary and Secondary sites (optional)
# ifconfig bge0 down
# ifconfig bge0 unplumb
/etc/hosts
and /etc/resolv.conf
files on all the hosts on both the Primary and Secondary sites.
You have migrated VVR to an IPv6-only network.
