(Linux only)
The following enhancements have been added to erasure-coded volumes.
Synchronization of erasure coded volumes
When you create erasure coded volumes, Veritas InfoScale, by default, runs asynschronous initialization on the volumes ensuring that all regions are synchronized. The synchronization operation runs in the background allowing the volume to be available for use to applications immediately after creation. The volumes display SYNC state after creation until all the regions are synchronized. This functionality is supported oin both private and shared/FSS disk groups.
Resizing of erasure coded volumes
The resize operation is now supported on erasure coded volumes in the same way as standard VxVM volumes.
