The hagetcf command gathers information about the installed software, cluster configuration, systems, logs, and related information. It then creates a gzip file, which may be used by Veritas Technical Support when troubleshooting VCS issues.
The hagetcf command gathers the following information:
The hagetcf command gathers sensitive information about your VCS cluster environment. Set the proper file permissions on the gzip file and use a secure protocol when sending it to Veritas Technical Support.
o Installed software information o System information o Configuration information The configuration information includes VCS, agent directory, and agent framework information.
o Log information The log information includes installation logs, VCS logs, log messages, and lock files.
o Veritas Product Authentication Service (AT) configuration backup file information o Cluster Manager (Java Console) information o Veritas Cluster Server Management Console (VCS MC) information You may run the hagetcf command in interactive or silent mode. By default, the hagetcf command runs in interactive mode and will prompt you to specify an output directory for the gzip file. You may save the gzip file to either the default /tmp directory or a specific directory.
To run the hagetcf command in interactive mode, enter:
# hagetcfWhen prompted, specify the output directory for the gzip file.
