To remove the IPv4 resources from the VCS configuration, do the following:
Remove the IPv4 resources from the Primary and Secondary sites.
Remove the IPv4 resources from the VCS configuration on the bunker site.
Remove the IPv4 network. This task is optional. Only perform it if you want to have an IPv6-only environment.
To remove the IPv4 resources from the Primary and Secondary sites
# haconf -makerw
# hares -offline ipres -sys swlx25
# hares -unlink res_rvg ipres
# hares -unlink ipres nicres
# hares -delete ipres # hares -delete nicres
# haconf -dump -makero
# hares -state | grep -i res #Resource Attribute System Value ipres_v6 State swlx25 ONLINE ipres_v6 State swlx26 OFFLINE nicres_v6 State swlx25 ONLINE nicres_v6 State swlx26 ONLINE
To remove the IPv4 resources from the VCS configuration on the bunker site
# hares -state #Resource Attribute System Value ipres State swlx29 ONLINE ipres_v6 State swlx29 ONLINE nicres State swlx29 ONLINE nicres_v6 State swlx29 ONLINE phantom_vxss State swlx29 ONLINE vxatd State swlx29 ONLINE
# haconf -makerw
# hares -unlink ipres nicres
# hares -delete ipres # hares -delete nicres
# haconf -dump -makero

# ifconfig -a
To remove the IPv4 network on the Primary and Secondary sites (optional)
# ifdown eth0
# ifconfig -a
/etc/hosts
and /etc/resolv.conf
files on all the hosts on both the Primary and Secondary sites.
You have now migrated VVR to an IPv6-only network.
