After a log is removed, the space formerly allocated to it reverts to free space.

Dynamic disks belonging to a Microsoft Disk Management Disk Group do not support removing a log. |
To remove a log
- Right-click on the volume you want to remove the log from.
- Select .
The Remove Log dialog box appears as shown in the sample screen below:
The name of the volume with the log appears in the upper left.
- The available logs appear in the left pane. Use the or button to move the desired logs to the list of logs selected to be removed in the right pane. To move the logs from the list to the list, select them in the right pane and click the button. To move all the logs from the list back to the list, click the button.
- After selecting the log, click to remove the log.
- Click at the message warning you that removing logs potentially increase recovery time.
