About creating dynamic disk groups

When you create a dynamic disk group and add disks to it, those disks become dynamic - that is, they can now have Storage Foundation dynamic volumes created on them. Thus, a basic disk is said to be 'upgraded to a dynamic disk' through its addition to a dynamic disk group. You can change multiple basic disks to dynamic at one time when you use either the New Dynamic Disk Group command or the Add Disk to Dynamic Disk Group command.
