Installing the SFW option for Microsoft failover cluster option

Administrative privileges are required on both host and guest operating systems for installing the Storage Foundation Cluster Option for Microsoft failover cluster. The SFW option for Microsoft failover cluster is installed when you install InfoScale Storage and select the Microsoft Failover Cluster option during the installation.

Before you install InfoScale Storage, you must install the Microsoft Failover Clustering feature and configure failover cluster nodes on all the systems that are part of the live migration configuration.

Installing InfoScale Storage requires a restart, but a restart on the active cluster node causes it to fail over. Hence, it is advisable to use a "rolling install" procedure to install InfoScale Storage first on the inactive cluster node. Then, move the cluster resources to the other node and install on the inactive node.
