Using disk and volume status information

If a disk or volume fails, it is important to repair the disk or volume as quickly as possible to avoid data loss. Because time is critical, Storage Foundation makes it easy for you to locate problems quickly. In the Status column of the Disks tab view or Volumes tab view, you can view the status of a disk or volume. You can also see indications of abnormal status in the tree view or the Disk View tab. If the status is not Healthy for volumes, Imported for dynamic disks, or Online for basic disks, use this section to determine the problem and then fix it.

When there is a problem with a disk or volume, you can also look at the Events tab view for messages about the problems that have occurred.
