Snapshots are not triggered at the scheduled time

SFW provides a Snapshot Scheduler Wizard that enables you to set up a schedule for automating the snapshot process. A scheduler service, VxSchedService.exe, that runs in the background, maintains the schedule.

You may experience that at the scheduled time, the VxSchedService.exe fails to trigger the snapshots. This issue occurs if the latest Microsoft Windows updates and Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable-x64 are not installed on the system.

Workaround:

  1. Install the following Windows updates:

  2. Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable-x64
