Deleting missing volumes from Storage Foundation

You must delete missing volumes from Storage Foundation. This makes the drive letter or mount point available and removes information about the missing volume that is no longer relevant.

Note:

Before deleting the missing production volumes, note the volume name and drive letter or mount point. You will need this information later on in order to assign the same drive letter to the snapshot volume associated with each missing production volume.

To delete a missing volume using the VEA console

  1. Right-click on the missing volume and select Delete Volume.
  2. You are prompted for verification. Click Yes to delete the volume.
