NAME

vxlicense - Veritas licensing utility

SYNOPSIS

vxlicense [-c] [-p] [-t feature]

DESCRIPTION

The vxlicense command is the Veritas licensing utility that maintains the Veritas license key file.

OPTIONS

-c Creates a license key file. vxlicense prompts for a license key.
-p Prints available Veritas licenses and features in a system.
-t feature Tests a Veritas license in a system.

EXAMPLES

The following example shows how to use vxlicense to initialize the Veritas license key file. After entering the command, vxlicense prompts for a license key. It creates the license key file after you enter the key.

vxlicense -c

To list available features, enter:


vxlicense -p

Feature name: CURRSET [95] Number of licenses: 1 (non-floating) Expiration date: 12/31/99 Release Level: 20 Machine Class: 934986342

Feature name: RAID [96] Number of licenses: 1 (non-floating) Expiration date: 12/31/99 Release Level: 20 Machine Class: 934986342
