Architecture and deployment
The VOM Advanced Enterprise Server discovers information from your Veritas Operations Manager (VOM) Managed Servers across multiple geographic locations. VOM Advanced aggregates that information, and creates reports. The reports can be enterprise-wide, or based on a specific datacenter , geography, or business unit.
Installing and configuring the VOM Advanced Enterprise Server involves the following basic steps:

Rolling up the VOM Management Server data to the VOM Advanced Enterprise Servers

VOM Advanced can roll up data from VOM 4.0 RU1 and later versions. If you are running an earlier version of VOM, be sure to upgrade to version 4.0 RU1 or a later version. If you use the VOM Storage Insight Add-on for Deep Array Discovery and Mapping, upgrade to the 4.0 RU1 version of the Storage Insight add-on. |
