SUMMARY OF KNOWN ISSUES: ----------------------------------------- NONE KNOWN ISSUES : -------------- NONE FIXED INCIDENTS: ---------------- PATCH ID:6.2.1.000 * INCIDENT NO:3655872 TRACKING ID:3646712 SYMPTOM: The ASL sometimes fails to claim a path pointing to a disk as it incorrectly identifies the path as a command device. DESCRIPTION: ASL determines if a path is a command device by analyzing the appropriate bits of the SCSI page 0xC0. The SCSI page 0xC0 may or may not return the required bits of information. Thus, the ASL incorrectly assumed that the bits are invariably returned, which lead it to searching at random bits of data to determine whether the path is a command device. RESOLUTION: The ASL code is modified to verify that the correct data is returned for the SCSI page 0xC0 before ASL determines the command device.
