DESCRIPTION: There are two root causes for this problem: 1. The successful exit code of nslookup can be 0 or other numbers, for example, 1, but the value is always 0 before the patch is added. Data Collector only handles the exit code with 0. 2. The system doesnt get the IPv4 address of the remote Solaris host first before it pings the host. RESOLUTION: For the first issue, the code is modified to handle more exit codes. For the second issue, the code is modified to obtain the host's IPv4 address first before using it. * INCIDENT NO:3608934 TRACKING ID:3739942 SYMPTOM: On Veritas Support Package (VRTSspt) 6.2.0,when vxeplorer runs, the following message prompts: "Do you want to update the local EOSL data in the data collector? [y,n,q] (n)" DESCRIPTION: Because the VXEXPLORER_ONLY flag has the wrong value of no (VXEXPLORER_ONLY=no), the EOSL message is displayed. RESOLUTION: The code is modified to update the value of VXEXPLORER_ONLY to yes (VXEXPLORER_ONLY=yes). After the modification, no tier sheet or EOSL data messages can be seen. * INCIDENT NO:3682758 TRACKING ID:3739946 SYMPTOM: Veritas Support Package (VRTSspt) 6.2.0 installs the vxgetcore utility on the path of "/opt/VRTSspt/vxgetocre", which is wrong. The name of the vxgetcore utility should be vxgetcore, instead of vxgetocre in the directory. DESCRIPTION: The root causes for this problem: The directory of the VRTSspt patch should be "/opt/VRTSspt/vxgetcore", instead of "/opt/VRTSspt/vxgetocre". RESOLUTION: The code is modified to replace the "/opt/VRTSspt/vxgetocre" directory with "/opt/VRTSspt/vxgetcore". INCIDENTS FROM OLD PATCHES: --------------------------- NONE
