DETAILS OF INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH --------------------------------------- This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents: * 3703545 SYMPTOM: This package contains the SFW Management Pack for monitoring the SFW and SFW HA servers and generate events and alerts in a SCOM environment. DESCRIPTION: This package contains the Symantec Storage Foundation for Windows Management Pack, which is required for monitoring the SFW and SFW HA servers and generate events and critical event alerts in a System Center Operations Manager 2012 environment. Supported SCOM versions: - Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 SP1 - Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 R2 RESOLUTION: Import the SFW Management Pack. Refer to the "Symantec Storage Foundation Management Pack Guide for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012" for instructions. File name / Version: Symantec.SFW.mp / 7.0.0.0 INSTALLING THE PATCH -------------------- Prerequisites: +++++++++++++ Before you proceed, ensure that following prerequisites are completed: - Ensure that Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 infrastructure is set up and configured correctly. Install instructions: ++++++++++++++++++++ [1] Download and import the Symantec Storage Foundation for Windows Management Pack file, Symantec.SFW.mp. Refer to the "Symantec Storage Foundation Management Pack Guide for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012" for instructions. REMOVING THE PATCH ------------------ Perform the steps provided below to remove the SFW Management Pack: 1. In the SCOM console, click Administration. 2. In the navigation pane, click Management Packs. 3. In the right pane, select the management pack that you want to delete. 4. Right-click the selected management pack, and then click Delete. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS -------------------- This fix is provided without warranty of any kind including the warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
