Setting shell limits for "oracle" user

Use smitty to verify that the shell limits for user "oracle" are set per the following table:

Soft FILE size 

-1 

Soft CPU time 

-1 

Soft Data Segment 

-1 

Soft STACK size 

-1 

 To set the shell limits

  1. Log in to a system as root user and enter:

    # smitty chuser

  2. For the "USER Name" field, enter: oracle.
  3. Scroll down the list of attributes and edit their values. See the table above.
  4. Press F10 to save the changes.
  5. Perform the steps above on each system.
