Before you upgrade and migrate Oracle9i

The migration procedure assumes that you have installed Oracle9i on the cluster nodes.

Before you upgrade and migrate the Oracle9i software, do the following:

• Review the configuration of VCS service groups.

  See Configuring VCS service groups for Oracle9i

  See Configuring VCS service groups for Oracle 10g

• Review the example main.cf file.

  See Sample VCS configuration files for SF Oracle RAC

• Install SF 5.0 for Oracle RAC if you have not already installed it.

  See Installing and configuring SF Oracle RAC components

• Configure Oracle 10g prerequisites.

  See Preparing to install Oracle 10g RAC

• Install CRS for Oracle 10g R1 or Oracle 10g R2.
