Uninstalling VxVM using the uninstallation script
Note
The uninstallvm
script also uninstalls any Veritas File System packages that are currently installed.
To uninstall VxVM

Read and follow the uninstallation procedures.

Stop all applications from accessing VxVM volumes.

Move to the
/opt/VRTS/install
directory on your system and use the uninstallation script to remove Veritas Volume Manager.
# cd /opt/VRTS/install
# ./uninstallvm
Note
To ensure complete removal, a system reboot is recommended after all packages have been removed.

The uninstall script prompts for the system name. Enter one or more system names, separated by a space, from which to uninstall VxVM, for example,
host1
:
Enter the system names separated by spaces from which to
uninstall VxVM: host1

To verify the removal of the packages, use the
pkginfo
command.
# pkginfo | grep VRTS
