To install the packages on alternate root

Verify that the Solaris OS is installed on the alternate root.
For example: /dev/dsk/c0t8d0s0.

Mount your alternate root disk to a mount point (on all nodes).
# mkdir /disk1
# mount /dev/dsk/c0t8d0s0 /disk1
The mount point must be by the same name on all systems.

Start the installer with the -rootpath option.
# cd /cdrom/dvd1/storage_foundation_for_oracle_rac
# ./installsfrac [-rsh] -rootpath /disk1
