For minimal performance impact Symantec recommends that the Space Optimized Snapshots (SOS) be created only of the Data Volumes. A mirror break of snapshot should be created of the Oracle Log volume. Creating a mirror breakoff snapshot of the Oracle Log volume does not have much space overhead since the log volumes are typically small in size.
