Configuring VCS in zones

Configuring VCS in zones involves the following tasks:

First

Review the prerequisites. See Prerequisites for configuring VCS in zones

Second

Decide on the location of the zone root. SeeSetting the zone root path

A zone root is the topmost directory in a section of the file system hierarchy in which the non-global zone is configured. The zone root may be on shared storage or on local storage. If zone root is on shared storage, it may exist in the same disk group that is to contain the application's data.

Third

Install the application in the zone. See Installing the application.

Fourth

Create the application service group and configure its resources. SeeConfiguring the service group for the application

Fifth

Configure zone-specific resources and set up inter-zone communication. See Configuring the service group for the application
