vxpalctrl - startup and shutdown script for VxPAL agents
vxpalctrl -h | {-a agent_name -c stop | start | restart | status}
vxpalctrl
starts, stops, restarts, and queries status on Veritas Provider Access Layer (VxPAL) agents on the local host.
You might need to shut down agents on remote hosts using
vxpal.

Provides usage information for
vxpalctrl.

-a agent_name
-
Specifies the VxPAL agent that you want to perform an action on.
agent_name
can be one of the following:
StorageAgent,
StorageManager,
DBEDAgent,
actionagent,
gridcentral,
gridnode,
VAILAgent, and so on.

-c stop

Terminates the specified agent.

-c start

Invokes the specified agent.

-c restart
-
Shuts down the specified agent, if already running, and re-invokes it.

-c status
-
Returns the status for the specified agent.
By default,
vxpalctrl
resides in:
/opt/VRTSobc/pal33/bin
