Restoring the database using the gadbrestore command

You can restore the database from the command line only. You must log in to the management server as a user with administrative privileges to use the gadbrestore command.

  Note   The CLI does not support the gadbrestore command for directories with non-English characters.

 To restore the database from a backup

1. Log in to the management server host system as a user with administrative privileges.
2. Obtain a command prompt and then enter the following command on one line:

gadbrestore -archive ArchiveFile -data DatabaseDataDir -log DatabaseLogDir

3. After successfully restoring the database, reattach the database and then restart the management server process.
