Static timeout attributes on Windows

  Note   Windows does not support a safe method for one thread to terminate another thread running arbitrary code. Therefore, agents on Windows wait until the entry points complete. The entry point timeouts listed in this chapter do not apply to Windows.

The following entry point timeouts do not apply for agents on Windows:

• ActionTimeout
• AttrChangedTimeout
• CloseTimeout
• CleanTimeout
• FaultOnMonitorTimeout
• InfoTimeout
• MonitorTimeout,
• OfflineTimeout
• OnlineTimeout
• OpenTimeout.

On the Windows platform, agents do not execute entry point timeouts, but wait until the entry points complete. For information concerning the timeouts listed above:
