About service group listing tables
The following is a list of the columns and data in tables that list service group information; these tables are usually labeled Groups Listing, but may have more detailed labels at lower view levels.
-
Name - Indicates the name of the service group and a link to the Group:Summary view for the service group
-
Consolidated State - Indicates the cumulative, effective state of the service group
See Object states and consolidated states.
-
Cluster Name -Indicates the name of the parent, or containing, cluster
-
MS - Indicates the management server under which the service group is configured
-
Line of Business - Indicates the user-defined line of business of the group. (The tag used to populate this column is the LOB tag. You can define the LOB tag.)
-
Department - Indicates the user-defined department of the group. (You can define the Department tag.)
-
Cluster Type - Indicates the product or technology used to implement the cluster. A cluster implemented using Veritas Cluster Server has a Cluster Type value of VCS.
-
Cluster Version - Indicates the version number of the product used to implement the cluster.
-
Fire Drill Status - For VCS global service groups that are configured with a fire drill group, indicates the results of the most recently run fire drill.
If multiple management servers are connected to the global cluster that contains the primary global group, the table does not show fire drill status for that global group.
The following are the possible fire drill states:
|
No fire drill has been run or the Cluster Management Console has come online after the most recent fire drill was run
|
|
|
|
Fire drill group came online on the secondary cluster
|
|
Fire drill group did not come online on the secondary cluster
|
See the Veritas Cluster Server Implementation Guide for information about fire drills.

Other info - Contains various logged status information.
A service group listing table can appear on more than one view, but columns that show parent objects of the service group are omitted if you have already visited those object levels. For example, to reach a particular view containing a service group listing table, you may have already navigated through one or more view levels by selecting parent objects such as a management server or cluster. In this case, columns that show the parent objects that you have already visited are not included. However, the navigation bar always contains this information.
Using filtering, sorting, and the navigation path
You can tailor a groups listing table according to your needs by doing one or more of the following:
-
Filter - Filter the list of service groups to reduce it to those of current interest to you.
-
Sort - Sort the list by the values in a column.
-
Move up the navigation bar - Click the navigation bar links to see more service groups from higher positions within the view hierarchy.
To filter service groups
-
In the Home:Groups, Management Server:Groups, or Cluster:Groups view, in the Groups Filter task panel, do any of the following:
-
Click Apply.
To sort service groups
-
In the Groups Listing table, locate the column by which you want to sort the list.
-
Click the column heading.
The list is sorted by the values in the selected column in ascending order. An arrow (pointing up) displays in that column heading. Click the column heading again to reverse the sort; this action also reverses the arrow.
