Enabling discovery of new disk arrays
The vxdctl enable command scans all of the disk devices and their attributes, updates the SFCFSHA device list, and reconfigures DMP with the new device database. There is no need to reboot the host.

This command ensures that Dynamic Multi-Pathing is set up correctly for the array. Otherwise, VxVM treats the independent paths to the disks as separate devices, which can result in data corruption. |
To enable discovery of a new disk array
- Type the following command:
# vxdctl enable
