When a disk on which a mirrored volume resides fails, the volume displays a Degraded status. The disk's name is changed to Missing Disk, and an icon (X) appears on the Missing Disk icon. The status of the disk is Offline.

You can use the Repair Volume command to repair a mirrored volume.
