SFW provides the ability to move volumes to new storage locations using the Storage Migration Wizard. The storage migration feature facilitates moving multiple volumes to different set of disks while the volumes are still online. Volumes that are associated with a Hyper-V virtual machine (VM) or an SFW disk group can be moved in a single administrative operation while the volumes are online without stopping the applications or Hyper-V VMs.

Storage migration provides administrators great flexibility when deploying new arrays or moving to LUNs that are configured for better performance.
