Dynamic Reconfiguration (DR) is a feature that is available on some high-end SUN Enterprise systems. The system board to be reconfigured contains disks controlled by VxVM (in addition to CPUs, memory, and other controllers or I/O boards) that can be taken offline while the system is still running.
