Manually adding a node to a cluster

The system you add to the cluster must meet the hardware and software requirements.

If the existing cluster runs in secure mode, set up the new node to run in secure mode.

Warning:

If the root broker system has failed, then you must recover or reconfigure the root broker system before you add a new node to the cluster.

Configure LLT and GAB.

If the existing cluster is configured for I/O fencing, configure I/O fencing on the new node.

Add the node to the existing cluster.

Start Storage Foundation and verify the cluster.
